Guy Fieri Launches Chilling New Spin-Off: Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dead People

After dropping Paula Deen like a hot potato, The Food Network was thrilled to announce today that their lineup next season will feature a new show starring Guy Fieri, greasy hamburgers, and an extra large side of -- you guessed it -- ghosts. Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dead People, a spooky spin-off of Fieri's famous roadtrip-in-search-of-comfort-food show, will star Fieri on the hunt for the best haunted hot dogs in the country. Hoping to score big at restaurants full of dark spirits, Fieri will travel halfway across the country to consume BBQ and commune with the dead.

"Brother, listen up," Fieri stated in a press release. "I have seen some shit." Sources claim that one episode features the ghost of the chef's dead mother berating Fieri after he cannot successfully complete the diner's Cheeseburger Challenge -- finishing a 95 oz. cut of meat with all the fixings in less than three hours. "I don't even have a BODY and I coulda swallowed that baby faster than that wimp," the mother's ghost reportedly shouted in an interview. Regardless of the spectral nature of its new stars, The Food Network promises that the show will be an unforgettably mouthwatering and sobering experience.
